Design vision

As growers, we know our perennials inside out.

We have a large assortment of >2000 different species & cultivars.

We love perennials and have built up extensive knowledge through years of propagating, raising and testing our own plants in our mother plant beds. We have completed many projects, each time with one goal:

to create the best combinations for each location.

Our plants are sustainable and locally grown.
That's the short supply chain: plants straight from us as a grower, to your project."

A good planting plan depends on good starting material.

-          We grow our plants outdoors, or in unheated greenhouses.
This way, they are hardened  and immediately suitable for planting in your project.

-          Our locally grown plants do not need to be transported far, and are also fully adapted to our climate.

-          Our nursery has an MPS A+ label.
In floriculture, this is the highest possible standard within the MPS-ABC label (Milieu Plan Sierteelt). MPS promotes the environmentally conscious cultivation of flowers, plants and bulbs at growers around the world. MPS-ABC is made up of different levels where MPS-A stands for the most environmentally friendly.
MPS-A+ indicates the very best environmental performance. Leaders score at least 90 points out of 110. They also receive at least 85% of the score on crop protection and at least 75% of the score on fertilisers and energy.

MPS is also strongly committed to 'bee-friendly' growing. By definition, products that could be harmful are immediately banned.

Who knows his perennials better than the grower?

The love for our plants also translates into our large assortment. We have the right plant in our range for almost every possible situation.

We design for a greener environment. Our perennials are an important link in a more climate-proof open space:

-          Perennials are a component in dampening rainfall thanks to interception.

-          Perennials are a green home to many fauna.

-          Perennials can be a food source for insects, among others.

-          Enjoy and get in touch with the beauty of nature. Getting back to the essence.

This is why perennials are such an important part of any project.
We can make this contribution at different scales.

Perennials have their added value in both larger and smaller projects.

We design with an eye to the future:

-          Deploying perennials that are adapted to changing weather conditions.

-          But equally designing with an eye to the future vision of the customer or user: taking into account the customer's target result, the purpose of the design and planting.

We work as much as possible with the situation at hand

(we will not apply substrates, or simply modify existing soil) and choose the best adapted plants according to soil conditions, sunlight.

Finally, we always respect the identity of the location: a private garden in the middle of the city requires a different approach and planting than a public planting that is rather extensively managed.
